A Sri Lankan Embassy official hands over the consignment of tea to the Director of Natural Disaster Management Centre of Myanmar Than Soe, at the Yangon International Airport.
The Government of Sri Lanka with the support of the Sri Lanka Tea Board donated a consignment of Ceylon Tea to the Government of Myanmar on July 15 as humanitarian assistance to the victims of cyclone Mocha.
The consignment was officially handed over to the Director of Natural Disaster Management Centre of Myanmar Than Soe, at the Yangon International Airport.
The donation was co-ordinated by the Foreign Ministry along with the Sri Lankan Embassy in Yangon. The consignment was airlifted by the SriLankan Airlines from Colombo to Bangkok and Myanmar Airways International (MAI) from Bangkok to Yangon on complimentary basis.
